Sify Technologies is making a big bet by investing $5 billion in data center infrastructure expansion across India. The investment is huge, and this will reflect Sify's confidence in the growing digital economy of India and its vision to be a global hub for data-driven enterprises. This will align with India's AI mission and modernize systems with AI Ops, cloud platforms, and GPUs to compete with major players in the industry. C-DOT has collaborated with IIT Delhi to develop critical "Building Blocks for Terahertz Communication Front Ends" as part of India's 6G initiative. This collaboration, under the Telecom Technology Development Fund, aims to accelerate the creation of a robust 6G ecosystem in alignment with the Bharat 6G vision, promising seamless, smart, and secure connectivity for the future. Telangana Government has signed a ₹3,500 crore MoU with ST Telemedia to set up an AI-ready data centre in Hyderabad. This will be one of the largest data centres in India, with a target capacity of up to 100 MW, and it will position Telangana as a key hub for global technology infrastructure. Great news for telecom users! Jio, Airtel, and BSNL users can now call and avail 4G services from other networks without having the tower of their provider in their vicinity. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has launched the ICR, or Interconnectivity Roaming, facility. It promises users seamless connectivity. The Sanchar Sathi app and National Broadband Mission 2.0 were also launched along with it. Microsoft is officially retiring the iconic "Office" brand, rebranding its suite as Microsoft 365 Copilot. This shift highlights the growing role of AI in the company’s product ecosystem.
