The Jorgensen/Mavis home and the Moncrief home, both at Thunderbird Country Club in Rancho Mirage, from 1955, are fine examples of the architecture by William ("Wild Bill") Cody, one of the leading Palm Springs architects after WWII. All the furniture in the Jorgensen house is original, custom made at the time. "The upholstery and curtains were woven from Peruvian fabrics. The Jorgensens used the house one season and sold it lock stock and barrel in 1956 to the Mavis family, the current owners, who have kept it the way it was" - Adele Cygelman from her book "Palm Springs Modern".
