The New Ford Family is engineered precisely to the original design to a perfect fit wheel chair accessible vehicle that meets the requirements of wheel chair user and their family members. The new vehicle is highly efficient with a built in 2.2 Duratorq TDCi diesel engines combined with Ford ECOnetic Technologies to reduced fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. When your vehicle is idling at a standstill, the engine automatically shuts down to save fuel. When you want to drive off, the engine immediately restarts. With a seating capacity of up to seven passengers plus a wheel chair user, the Ford Family features a lowered floor; lighter ramp and Quick release secure locking systems. Built on a long wheel base, the lowered floor in the freeway, allows maximum head room, easy entry and exit. The New Ford comes with Emergency brake assist that is designed to recognise emergency braking situation and the increase the pressure with the braking system to provide extra stopping power. The Quick release secure locking system means that the wheel chair is securely locked to the floor of the vehicle to provide comfortable stress free journey for both family members and the wheel chair user. To provide hassle free accessibility, we have designed our ramp to lightest weight as possible to ensure minimal effort while lifting. This helps to conveniently use the ramp for entering or exiting the wheel chair user to or from the vehicle.
