We are going to use a smoked ham or spiral cut hams from Costco come with a packet of glaze, but for this recipe, we're going to make our own glaze. Glaze: Can of Sprite or coke smoked ham or spiral cut, bone-in ham (9 lbs) 1 can pineapple slices Maraschino cherries 1/2 cup of pineapple juice 1 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup honey 1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1/4 tsp. Nutmeg 1/4 cup butter Instructions: 1. Preheat the oven to 275º. Line your baking dish with enough aluminum foil to completely cover your ham on all sides. Place the pre-cooked ham in the oven for 2 1/2 hours until it reaches the temperature of 140 degrees. 2. Place sprite, butter, brown sugar, pineapple juice, honey, Dijon mustard, garlic powder and nutmeg in small sauce pan. Whisk together until smooth, then place on stove top over medium high heat. Let it reach to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for another 2 minutes. Remove from heat. 3. Take ham out of the oven and increase the temperature to 475º. Fold aluminum foil down the sides of the pan so that ham is fully exposed. Then pour some of the glaze all over the top. 4. Use toothpicks to secure pineapple slices and maraschino cherries on top of the ham. Place the pineapple halfway through the process to avoid burning them. Keep basting the ham every 15 minutes until the ham reaches an internal temperature of 140º. Remove from oven and let rest for 15-20 minutes before cutting into it.
