Title: Interpreting in the “Dead-Band” of Audio Magnetotelluric Frequencies, an Integrated Geoscience Approach This study presents an integrated interpretation of historic audio magnetotelluric (AMT) data collected over the Jansen Lakes uranium lease in the Eastern Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan. The analysis begins with a brief overview of the regional geological framework, highlighting anomalous geochemical and magnetic signatures that suggest the presence of a deep-seated hydrothermal system. Special attention is given to AMT responses within the “dead-band” frequency range, derived from a 90-station, 4 km × 4 km survey grid. Techniques are applied to assess the coherence and reliability of the AMT survey responses. Apparent resistivity, phase, and calculated dimensionality are then interpreted alongside a historic 3D inversion model that lacked input from frequencies above 1Khz. To enhance structural understanding, AMT results are integrated with coincident VTEM and ZTEM datasets. This multi-method approach reveals regional structural controls that appear to focus hydrothermal fluids into the overlying sandstone column—an important insight for exploration in areas lacking traditional vertical graphitic conductors. The findings support the development of new exploration metrics tailored to the unique geological context of the Mudjatik domain of the Eastern Athabasca Basin.
