This video is fairly long as I am changing the stem seals on this mini cooper due to blue smoke coming from the exhaust and hi emissions during the MOT. The job is fairly involved but does not require the removal of the cylinder head, but many parts need to come off in order to get to the stem seals, rocker cover, chain tensioner, inlet manifold, camshafts sprockets, camshafts, valvetronic springs and system, spark plugs, coil packs. Some specials tools are needed for the job including a torque wrench and an air compressor to be able to compress the cylinders for removing the stem seals. A timing tool kit is required as well as a valvetronic spring removal tool. A steam seal removal tool kit is also required. This particular engine the N12 and N14 are shared by Mini and Peugeot models.
