4K Fantasmic! "3.0" - View from Pirates of the Caribbean Bridge - Disneyland Resort - August 2025

Fantasmic! is a nighttime spectacular presented in Disneyland Park at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim California. It is also presented at Walt Disney World in Florida and formerly at the Tokyo Disney Resort in Japan before it's final performance on March 25th 2020. Fantasmic! debuted on May 13th 1992 in California and eventually closed on January 10th 2016 for the construction of Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. Throughout 1992-2016, things came and went, like the Ursula barge used from 1992-1997. The show returned with new effects and scenes on July 17th 2017, and then closed on March 12th 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It reopened May 28th 2022 and closed again on April 22nd 2023 due to the Maleficent dragon animatronic, nicknamed Murphy, catching fire. Fantasmic! has since returned as of May 24th 2024, with new enhancements and scenes (see below). All versions of Fantasmic! are different, none are exactly the same. Enjoy! *On April 22nd 2023, during the 10:30pm performance of Fantasmic!, the Maleficent dragon animatronic, (better known as Murphy), caught on fire. This caused Fantasmic! to go on another hiatus. Fantasmic! returned May 24th 2024, but with some updates: 1: Murphy has not returned, it is said that a new animatronic is in the works, but it will be a long time till the animatronic can become part of a show. Now Mickey "fights" Maleficent in her regular form, basically the same exact thing as with the dragon, but without the dragon. 2: The show received some tech updates, new pyro and some new lighting designs during specific scenes. 3: The Pirates of the Caribbean segment has been discontinued, and has been replaced with a Peter Pan segment. Peter Pan used to be part of Fantasmic! from 1992-2016, before the massive refurbishment of the show. After complaints that POTC was the only live action/not animated show presented in Fantasmic!, Disney brought back Peter Pan but the Tick Tock crocodile animatronic has not returned (as it was most likely destroyed in between 2016-2017).* This video was filmed during the 2nd performance of Fantasmic! on August 11th 2025 on the bridge located above the Pirates of the Caribbean queue. On this day, Fantasmic! was presented twice, at 9:05pm and 10:30pm on the Rivers of America in Frontierland in Disneyland Park. Following the first Fantasmic! performance, guests can stay in the area to watch the nighttime fireworks. Projections and special effects of the show will be presented on the Rivers of America, allowing guests to have a unique view of the show.
