Beginning in 1994, twenty-two year old Edson Glauber Coutinho claims to be receiving visits from the Blessed Virgin Mary and Our Lord Jesus Christ. The messages are a call to prayer and conversion. Jesus and Mary also encourage the faithful to have devotion to the Chaste Heart of St. Joseph. In 1998 St. Joseph himself begins appearing to Edson. These apparitions were approved by Bishop Dom Carillo Gritti on January 31, 2010. However, after the Bishop's death, the Church decided to withdraw the approval, in 2017.
