The 68 NOVA goes to CLEETUS AND CARS Houston 2020 - Will it run 12's on a 1980's build?

Racer X Garage Episode 13: On this episode we head out to Cleetus and Cars Houston - Feb 2020. I took my 1968 Nova Super Sport along so that I could finally make my first full 1/4 mile passes in the car. In a previous episode I went over how this car sat in a shop since 1989 until I purchased it in 2018. (Go check it out if you have not seen it) We do know It has a generation 1 LT-1 Chevrolet 350 from a 1970 1/2 Z28 Camaro with a set of very early cast iron GM performance cylinder heads, Muncie M20 4 speed transmission, and the original GM 12 bolt housing with 4.56 gears. The car was drag raced with this setup in the 80's and eventually parked in 1989. We are still running the same mystery engine combination from the 1980's with the exception of some upgrade electronic ignition components. Our ultimate goal at the moment is to break into the 12 second range in the 1/4 mile. Can we do it? Watch and see Thank you to everyone that came by at Cleetus and Cars and checked out the 68 Nova!
