Join us for an industry-shaping Webinar session led by ACC and hosted by CHASNZ’s Chris Alderson and Chris Polaczuk. This powerful conversation will dive into how we can collectively improve recovery at work outcomes across the construction sector. Be part of the change as we explore new initiatives, share critical insights, and invite your voice into shaping the future of worker wellbeing. We’re seeking organisations to participate in a six-month Recovery at Work trial. This is your opportunity to test a new approach to rehabilitation that helps injured workers return to meaningful duties sooner—benefiting both their recovery and your business. Why it matters? Over 18 million workdays were lost to injury last year in Aotearoa. The longer someone is off work, the harder it is for them to return. After just 70 days, the likelihood of returning drops to 35%. We’ve heard the challenges: Employers are impacted by lost productivity. Workers worry about finances, their teammates, and their future. Evidence shows that staying connected to work through supported duties during recovery can lead to better physical and mental outcomes—and a faster, safer return to work. What the trial involves? You’ll work with ACC to implement and test a Recovery at Work approach tailored for your business. They will provide the framework and resources and your role is to provide feedback and help shape what works best for your people and our industry. Want to be part of it? Be part of a community committed to helping injured workers get back on their feet. Register your interest and join our upcoming webinar to learn how your business can play a vital role in shaping a better future for our industry. Together, we can improve recovery outcomes and create safer, more supportive workplaces.
