Bored? Watch a neglected Sensa bike get restored

I was searching for a bike to fit my dad since he was looking for a sustainable mean of transportation, but also something that he could enjoy on some light trails. We went through several shops and found some really decent bikes, however when we stumbled upon this used Sensa Livigno while searching the used market, we knew we had to get it. We were thrilled to find a used Sensa, however we then found that it has been severely disrespected and that it was in need of care, so we took the challange without thinking twice. The bike is very well equipped, and it has most of its original parts still installed, but there were a lot of things that needed attention. Basically the frame and forks had severe wear marks on them, however no cracks or severe signs of damage were found. The bottom bracket had mechanical play and the bearings were severely damaged, the hubs on both wheels needed maintenance since they were most likely never greased and the fork locker was, ironically, seized. However, with the help of my best friend, we got this bike in good running condition and it ended up looking quite great. Most of the things that we could fix got fixed, however there were parts that could not be restored just yet. The project was based on sustainability and on the 3 Rs (Reuse, Reduce, Recycle) and happily we ended up not throwing away anything. The seat and bottom bracket could not be fixed, however they were stored in the parts bin to be used for bits and pieces on future projects.
