And when by the fire, the wool didn't succumb to embers like synthetic fabrics do. The Poncho also allowed easy access to gear like binocular harnesses and chest rigs. It's also offers limited concealment from thermal imaging if that's something you are into. Five Star also makes cloaks that are in the vein of Lord of the Rings. While I will probably get a Five Star cloak as any self respecting English major will, the poncho proved more practical for me, and will live in my truck, and go on every hunt I go on from now on.
