Sie haben Biliothekswissenschaften studiert. Warum wurden Sie Pornostar? "It was pretty much a business decision. I have been modeling for several years. And when I became a librarian I suddenly had a lot of free time, because I got my masters degree when I was 21. So I went from taking a lot of classes and also working two jobs to simply working one full-time job which was nothing compared to what I had previously done. So suddenly I had a lot of free time on my hands as a librarian, so I started doing erotic modeling and some video stuff. And I did some nude photos. And then I started to incorporate those into each other. Eventually I realized: I was making more in an hour than I was making in a whole day as a librarian and second of all, if I was able to be successful at this in Massachusetts where I was living, I could easily move to Los Angeles and make it a whole career. So I did." 2. Inwiefern verstehen Sie sich als Unternehmerin? When you’re doing porn, you’re starting your own small business. You’re doing, you’re learning production. Being a pornstar isn’t just showing up to shooting a scene and then going home. To make a living as a porn performer, you have to do a lot of things. You are doing so much behind the scenes that people don’t realize. The marketing, the finances, the webmaster aspects involved, you have to know how to shoot and edit video and diseeminate it to the people who want to consume it and promote it to people. 3. Warum passen Virtual-Reality-Brillen gut zu Pornofilmen? When someone shows someone virtual reality, some of the first questions most people asked is: Can I watch porn with this? People are interested in it. VR needs porn. Porn is a huge part of the experience. Porn can take advantage of the best features of this new medium. So it is made for each other. 4. Warum verspricht sich die Branche so viel mehr Umsatz durch Virtual Reality? People are willing to pay more for VR porn than for 2d porn. We estimate that we could charge about 150 to 200 % more for the live cam experiences that we are providing. People seem to be pretty happy to pay that. 5. Haben Sie nicht Angst davor, ein Leben lang mit Pornos in Verbindung gebracht zu werden? "It is a big risk. You can never undo porn. Even if you are not in front of the camera. When people find out that you have been associated with it, a lot of doors close for you. When I talk to potential performers I ask them: Is that really what you wanna do? In ten years, are you going to want to look back and say: I was a pornstar/a porn performer. What if you do not make it to starstatus? Are you trying to be a doctor? Are you trying to work with children? Then maybe this is not the right choice for you. But if it is the right choice for you, then own it and love it. Allow it to be part of your identity because it’s great. But it can really limit your options in the future. And that is with companies as well." 6. Because nobody can think like the consumer better than the consumers. So if you would be the consumer of whatever you’re making, you’re gonna have a much more honest experience than if you’re think a certain kind of person would want but you do not know that person and you’re not talking to them."
