This video reel highlights my sound design work on the weapons and upgrades in DOOM: The Dark Ages. It was a blast contributing to the next installment of the DOOM franchise. My goal was to craft weapons that feel heavy, punchy, and deeply satisfying to use—capturing the brutal spirit of DOOM while avoiding anything too exaggerated or fatiguing. Every sound was carefully crafted to amplify gameplay feel, emphasize the weight and impact of each shot, and ensure every weapon had its own distinct identity. Formosa provided excellent assets that supported the base designs of the Plasma and Skullcrusher weapons.
