THIS IS IT! So a new chapter begins at Weevil Garage folks, and I sure hope you're as excited about this as I am!! Okay so she may not be the most exciting car I've ever acquired or rescued (not really rescued since she wasn't gonna be scrapped, although she might have looked like it) but this car holds a special place in my heart, as mentioned in the video. In a nutshell, I've always felt this variant of the Laser 1.6 GL from the 90s "MazFord" era was always overshadowed by the almighty TX3, and tbh, I've always wanted to have a go at this one, having owned THREE TX3s in the past, but could never find a unit that was either within my Weevil budget, or in decent enough condition to consider restoring. And suddenly along comes one in mechanically sound condition, but needing a lot of peripheral work. I wanna see just how much I can do to bring this car back to its former glory, or perhaps better than when it was new (wishful thinking...maybe). But ONE thing's for sure, it will not be a clone or 'wannabe' TX3, this car deserves more respect and individuality than that.
