What It Takes To Win A Pompano Surf Fishing Tournament Hosted By Panhandle Salt On Perdido Key

A collection of video clips from fishing all March 2025 in the Panhandle Salt Upper Limit Pompano surf fishing tournament in the Perdido Beach to Panama City Beach locale with the Aeroo fishing drone available for the first-place angler.  The tournament standings were calculated using your heaviest weighted pompano caught over the month of March. I came in just under 17 lbs. for the month and was fortunate enough to win the tournament and the Aeroo fishing drone. These tournaments generally require very long hours of surf fishing on our white sandy beaches of the Pensacola area and it is a grind, but super fun at the same time. I used a variety of baits to get this done including a variety of flavors of Fishbites baits, ghost shrimp, fresh dead shrimp from Gulf Breeze Bait and Tackle, fresh caught sand fleas as well as crab knuckles, Panhandle Salt Rig kits and Perdido Leader as well. As much as I hate videos that just show anglers catching fish, this is a video recap of some on the tournament action.
