Top reviews from the United States Best Mat for me after using others for 7 years I am in my upper 50s in age and have been doing yoga since about early 2014 and have used various mats through the years. I have only had this mat for a week but it currently is the very best I have had. I few things to note about this mat. 1) It is a harder mat than any I have had because it is high density. I like this because I get more stability and it does seem to hurt my knees etc any more than my other mats. 2) It is heavier than any mat I have had for the same density reason. I like this because the mat will completely flatten out faster and not move at all. I used to have one or two exercises I would need to be careful with to not move the mat but this is no longer the case. 3) Although it did allow some sliding for about the first 3 days, since then it has become grippier than any mat I have used. And even on day one of using it the slippage was a very slow movement which was easy to make an adjustment to during the workout. And I never conditioned the mat! I have only had the mat for a week so I have no idea how it will wear over time but if it goes for 6 years it will cost me less than what I was paying for other mats and will have worked better. I highly recommend this mat. If something changes I will update this rating.
