Reason for being unused: The ride's current situation right now is closed from 2/7/2022 for the Major Refurbishment, although I've done three finished POVs in the same day these videos were recorded. I didn't bother doing the ridethrough of the ride because of safety hazards I need to get over with that the workers' situations were stern, that's why I've plan to film another ride. I'm still being careful on what I'm filming no matter which type, even for my next Knott's visit making the first in 2022. It's safe to say that the classic roller coaster will have a good luck with its major rehab whether it will be buffed or nerfed. Montezooma's Revenge is a steel shuttle roller coaster at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California. It opened on May 21, 1978. Designed by Anton Schwarzkopf, it is one of eight flywheel-launched units manufactured for theme parks around the world. It was the first flywheel-launched roller coaster in the world and is the last ride of its kind still operating in the United States. Unlike many other looping coasters, Montezooma's Revenge uses lap bars to hold riders in the seats instead of conventional over-the-shoulder restraints found on most other steel looping roller coasters. Following Cedar Fair LP's 1997 takeover of Knott's Berry Farm, fabric seat belts were added as a secondary restraint system. You'll think the gods have gone crazy when you blast from 0 to 55 in just 3 seconds, traveling through a giant, seven-story loop -- once forward, then again backwards.
