It finally arrived! Miko_Archer (Valentine) promised to send me a proper bow as a gift. I got a BEAUTIFUL laminated Crimean Tatar recurve short bow. It's 43lbs draw weight and it shoots like a charm. It is decorated with the Ukrainian colors of blue and yellow. These colors symbolize for me the live giving effects of the sun and the water. When the solar rays meet with water, the earth is impregnated with new life. Microorganisms. Later they evolve into all shapes of life. His wish is for the world to see that behind what is happening right now in Ukraine, there is an entire normal culture going on. Such a beautiful masterpiece of a bow is a small example of it all. The "Advanced Native American Archery" (ANAA) style. The traditional Southern Plains Native American short bow way of shooting, enriched with my own interpretation / recreation of the lost speed shooting techniques. Such a recurve bow is designed to be used in a certain way. But I lack both the skill and arrows to do it properly. So this review includes me adopting this bow into my OWN way of shooting. Thus proving that this bow is very flexible and does not limit the user at all. I ended up being very comfortable with it as if it is one of my own specialized bows. But the one good thing about this one in comparison? It is VERY accurate and much more powerful! I had a lot of fun playing with this new bow, and it has earned its place on my main personal equipment.
