[Project Notes] I made my first attempt with this embroidery kit back in 2023, I’ve completed the felt padding and I’ve couched a few rows on the foxes head. However, the few rows of couching didn’t sit nicely next to each other, and I haven’t continued further until now. I’ve removed the few rows of couching and I’ll redo them and continue with the rest of the embroidery this time. In the past, I’ve limited experience with working with metalwork material, this Foxy kit is a first time for me to have an entire piece made of metalwork material. I’m working very slowly with each step since I know that the metalwork material will likely to be a total loss with any mishap, and I believe that it is difficult to find the exact material replacement in the market, in terms of color and thickness. After the embroidery is done, I’m going to turn it into a brooch. At the same time, I'd like to have some companionship while working with both of my hands (or both sides of my brain) on the beautiful colors and warm fiber textures. The amazing thing of working on embroidery is that no one can go wrong with it, as long as some attention is given while working on it. And the best part is that the craftsmanship will get better and better each time after each stitch is being made.
