The legendary, hugely influential Scottish folk-fusion outfit Croft No.5 (recently reformed after a 20 year haitus) make their return here at Glasgow's world-famous Piping Live! Festival, headlining this utterly stomping Closing Concert at Saint Luke's in Glasgow. Founded in 1998, Croft No.5 are firmly established as one of Scotland's most influential folk fusion acts. The band here making their highly anticipated return to the scene, headlining the final gig of Glasgow’s vibrant Piping Live! Festival in tremendous style. Fitting perfectly with this festive celebration of bagpipe music in all its forms, the band is joined on stage by one of Scotland’s most special contemporary bagpiping talents, Ailis Sutherland. Croft No.5 released two seminal albums in the early 2000s, 'Attention All Personnel' (2001) and 'Talk of the Future' (2005) establishing their unique brand of Scottish world music / Celtic fusion in the global music scene. Each of the members has since gone on to achieve individual success in contemporary trad music, collaborating with all varieties of genres, bands and performers. Now coming back together, this re-formed Scottish supergroup features 8 members - John Somerville (Accordion), Duncan Lyall (Bass & Synths), Barry “Spad” Reid (Guitars), Paul Jennings (Drums), Somhairle MacDonald (Bass & Percussion), Misha Somerville (Whistles), Adam Sutherland (Fiddle) and Innes Watson (Fiddle & Vocals).
