© CHANNEL FOUR TELEVISION 1984 This "Ear Say" programme is just AWFUL*! Truly, truly **DIABOLICAL!!* Not only was it trying - really badly - to be "down with the kids" by using phrases like "groovy" that hadn't been used since their audience's parents were teenagers, they are asking a now-convicted paedophile who also hadn't been relevant since their parents were young adults what he thought of the latest music videos! I'm sure when Gary Glitter agreed to be on this show, he thought he'd be having close contact with underage teenagers ala TOTP and not being asked about the latest music videos! I now see (P)Rick's reaction when he kicked in the TV screen after seeing "Nozin' Aroun'" in the first episode of The Young Ones was justified! So with that said, I'd just like to say this: "DID YOU SEE THAT?!? DID YOU?!? 'THE VOICE OF YOUTH!' THEY'RE STILL SAYING 'GROOVY' AND ASKING A PAEDO FOR OPINIONS ON POP VIDEOS! WHY DON'T YOU TRY A BIT OF POETRY, YOU HIPPIES!?" One other thing I will say... at least the acts themselves are ones the teenagers of 1984 might have a slight chance of being interested in!
