This novel no hands or forceps on lens injection system allows for a safe lens loading by the nurse or assistant. The injector is inserted into the wet lens assembly container until you hear the click. Withdraw the injector with the lens and cartridge. The lens is ready for loading without the use of additional BSS or viscoelastic. The haptics are individually folded to ensure correct tucking prior to the optic being depressed and folded by the lever that safely clicks into position. Turn the injector around and initiate a gentle push to see the lens move safely in the cartridge by the orange stopper. We are now ready for the IOL injection through the small 2.2mm cartridge nozzle into the eye and observe the smooth, safe and secure lens unfolding… into the capsular bag. There is a smooth gliding action without sticky haptics on the optic surface and no delay in lens unfolding.
