This drill was planned last minute. It was originally was going to be a Lockdown Drill in January 11, but it was canceled and I still don’t know why it was, for next month’s drill will for sure be a Lockdown Drill. This fire drill was recorded in (1-25-22) during 5th period and on that day, my woodshop teacher told us that it was going to be an Earthquake drill and he also mention that he wasn’t quiet sure if it going to be an earthquake or fire drill but thought an earthquake drill will be more balanced since the fire alarms kept going off at the beginning of the year. When it was 5th period, I head a lot of people saying, “whens the fire drill going to start?” and I was confused at first but I asked my teacher if it was going to be an earthquake or fire drill and he confirms that it’s a fire drill. When the fire drill began and ended, I was wonder why they didn’t use the fire alarms and only used the IP Clocks instead. When I looked back into my emails all the way in the beginning of the year, I stumble across this sentence. *Note that this was the incident with the computer glitch caused the fire alarms to go off*, “Both thankfully were false alarms and a good indication that even without a fire drill this year, our students and staff could safely and effectively evacuate the buildings.” I thought to myself that I think and I might be wrong, but they might not use the fire alarms anymore and just use the IP clocks. If this is true, then I really would not call it a fire drill if there’s NO FIRE ALARMS. They should’ve made it an evacuation drill and I should renamed my video, “evacuation drill during break” into, Fire drill during break” since it was also a “Fire drill.” When I get a chance to talk with the administrations, I will update this description and figure out if any planned fire drill will be using the fire alarms.
