“It is important for everyone to know that today a command center, a national coordination center, remains in place that includes the Secretary, includes the three Secretaries, their teams, the Ministry of the Interior, and is in coordination with all state governments. Yesterday, following the operation, this command center was set up. I want to thank all the governors, because they were all in coordination, sharing much information. I would also like to extend special recognition to the Ministry of National Defense, to General Ricardo Trevilla Trejo, to the Mexican Army, the National Guard, and the Air Force. Mexico truly has extraordinary armed forces. They are men and women who are trained, professional, with a lot of vision, deeply patriotic, and exceptionally well prepared. We extend our condolences to the families of the service members who lost their lives yesterday, along with our deepest respect. The people of Mexico should feel very proud of our armed forces and our security cabinet. These are remarkable men and women who are always willing to give their lives for others. Most importantly at this time, our priority is to guarantee peace and security for the entire population — for all of Mexico — and that is what is being done. Today, there is greater calm. There is a government, there are armed forces, there is a security cabinet, and there is strong coordination.
