Under the callsign REACH450, this C-5M Super Galaxy (86-0018) arrived into RAF Fairford from Dyess AFB at around 7am local time to drop off support kit for the upcoming B-1 Lancer TDY. Thanks to adsbexchange.com I was able to watch the jet take off from Texas at 10pm UK time, then catch a few zzzzs before making an early start to get to Fairford in time for its arrival. After being airborne for the 9 hour crossing from Texas, the Galaxy was back off at 11:15 local time to Gothenburg-Landvetter Airport. The arrival of this jet is especially significant as it marks the first aircraft movement of the first Bomber Task Force of 2023, which will include B-1s from the 7th Bomb Wing from Dyess AFB.
