It is February 1, 2025 and I am out on my first trip of 2025. I am back in the Pisgah National Forest in the mountains of North Carolina for a one night adventure. The weather in the mountains has been cold with snow and ice during the month of January, but a break in it allowed me to get out. I expect the fishing will be challenging because of the recent cold temperatures, but just getting out exploring is good enough for me.
