CHINESE BEAST: The Yangwang U8 Is INSANE Off-Road AND Luxurious!

The Yangwang U8 is a luxury off-road vehicle that’s bigger than Texas but 100% Chinese. With a grunty power output of 880 kW and 1280 Nm of torque, delivered via four independent electric motors (one on each wheel), this plug-in hybrid vehicle combines fairly brutal performance with a surprisingly posh interior and a bucket load of luxury goodies. What blew me away though wasn’t its claimed 0-100 time of 3.6 seconds, or its ability to do tank turns or its four-wheel steering, or even the fact this vehicle can somehow FLOAT ON WATER; I was actually blown away by the luxury and gadgetry inside. I mean, it's got a FRIDGE! 😃 And while it may have a 2 litre, turbocharged combustion engine under its bonnet, its BYD blade battery is 49.05 kWh in capacity, meaning its pure electric range is 124 kilometres (WLTP).
