Since ancient times, our education system relied on the Liberal Arts. It changed with the introduction of British Education System. Today, most of the popular universities in the world treat liberal arts as the core of their teaching. Subjects like History, Poetry, Theater, Music, Arts and Literature need to blend in day to day studies, to bring back the creative element in the Education System. Designation Educator & Heritage Activist Short Bio: Vikramjit Singh Rooprai is an Educator, who left his IT Career to become a Teacher Trainer. He specializes in various forms of Liberal Arts, and emphasizes on Interdisciplinary Learning. Vikramjit is known as a Heritage Activist, who used History as a tool, to teach various subjects. He also established The Heritage Photography Club, the largest club dedicated to Monumental Photography. His initiative ‘Heritageshaala’ helps schools to setup Heritage Labs, where they do experiments & play games inspired by History & Geography. Vikramjit Singh Rooprai is a Heritage Activist and a Teacher Trainer who left his successful IT career and established ‘The Heritage Photography Club’ which promotes heritage across India. He also devised techniques to teach other subjects using History as a tool and has served as an auditor for UNESCO. He has given several talks regarding the activities of the education sector in prominent universities.
