This video provides an overview of 6 strategies that I like to use to help patients who are experiencing anorexia. Those strategies are: 1. Aim for small, frequent eating sessions 2. Schedule eating times 3. Enhance the eating environment 4. Identify problem smells, tastes, textures, and temperatures 5. Choose foods that are easy to chew and swallow 6. Avoid drinking fluids during eating sessions There’s no need to apply all of these strategies at once. Many patients benefit from adding 1 or 2 at a time to see how they affect their ability to eat, and then making an informed decision on how to proceed. _____________________________________ ✨ Make sure you check out each Review Paper that I’ve published (6-Pack for sale!): https://cnu.sellfy.store/ 📩 Subscribe to @clinicalnutritionuniversity so you can continue to build your knowledge and skills 📸 Follow me on Instagram: / mitchellzandes _____________________________________ 📚 Chapters for this video: 0:00 Strategies to improve appetite 1:08 Disclaimers 1:50 Aim for small, frequent eating sessions 3:17 Schedule eating times 4:47 Enhance the eating environment 6:01 Identify problem smells, tastes, textures, and temperatures 7:25 Choose foods that are easy to chew and swallow 8:34 Avoid drinking fluids during eating sessions 10:15 Summary This video is for educational purposes only.
