The Monte Solaro chairlift in Anacapri, Italy

Anacapri is one of the two municipalities into which the island of Capri is divided. It occupies the highest part of the island (hence the name) and it is the quietest and least "glamorous" area of Capri, full of small artisan shops, flower-filled squares and completely pedestrian stone alleys. The Monte Solaro chairlift is a facility which connects the historic center of the municipality (located at 286 meters above sea level) with Mount Solaro, whose peak is located at 589 meters above sea level. At the top the view extends over a vast panorama, from the Gulf of Naples to the Gulf of Salerno. Here you can see Anacapri on the left and the Mount Vesuvius (Stratovolcano) on the right.
