Watch him perform his signature "sharkfin" move as he relaxes over the eggs, eyes scanning the valley, steady and protective. This is Clutch #2 for Jackie and Shadow this season. After heartbreakingly losing their first two eggs to ravens on January 30th, Jackie reset her hormones and laid a new egg on February 24th, followed by a second on February 27th. Jackie is believed to be the first Bald Eagle ever hatched and fledged in Big Bear. When Shadow settles over the eggs and does his famous side-to-side "wiggle," he's pressing his warm brood patch firmly against the eggs.
