Nobody Had Eaten HALF of Tennessee's Biggest 9lb $100 Undefeated BBQ Challenge!!

American pro eater Randy Santel and Czech competitive eater ‪@SteelRodRadim‬ Dvořáček each versus Project BBQ's massive and undefeated 9lb (4kg) "Ben Franklin" Texas-Style Barbecue Platter Challenge hosted by Project BBQ JC on North Roan Street in Johnson City, Tennessee!! After finishing up the eating challenge tour with ‪@KatinaEatsKilos‬ around Arkansas, parts of Missouri, and Oklahoma, I took a 6.5 week break from food challenges and lost 49.8 lbs (22.6 kg) of bodyweight. I started back up with a trip to Eastern Tennessee with my Czech friend Radim Dvořáček and attempted four huge and delicious restaurant eating challenges. For food challenge #1 of four, we headed to the Project BBQ JC location on North Roan Street in Johnson City, TN so we could each attempt their massive and unbeaten 9lb (4kg) "Ben Franklin" Barbecue Platter Challenge. Around sixteen people had tried the challenge before we got there, and nobody had even gotten close to surpassing the halfway point. This challenge was a supersized version of the "Benjamin Franklin" barbeque party pack sharing platter on the menu, meant for 6-8 hungry people to split amongst the group. There are 1lb portions of Texas-style smoked beef brisket and pulled pork, plus 1/2 lb portions of sausage and smoked chicken breast. The platter comes with a 1/2 rack of pork spare ribs and three large sides. For the actual challenge though, you get almost a full rack of the pork spare ribs, and there is a full pound of chicken breast, rather than just a half-pound. As for sides, Radim and I each got their collard greens and BBQ beans. Radim wanted to order their Smoked Mac N Cheese, and I ordered their coleslaw with a sweet vinegar base instead. There is a one hour (60 minutes) time limit to finish everything. Winners get the $100 barbecue meal free plus a sweet t-shirt, a coffee mug proclaiming their victory, and a spot on the Wall of Fame.
