NOW SOLD!Gibson ES165 Herb Ellis Made in USA Serial Number 02621602 A stunning Gibson ES-165 Herb Ellis in excellent condition. Made in Memphis Tennessee in 2001. Arch top Hollow body with the top and back made from figured Maple laminate with a layer of Poplar and another layer of figured Maple in a lovely light Sunburst Gloss finish. The body measures 16″ across the lower bout and is 3½ inches deep. Features a one piece Mahogany “rounded Jazz profile” neck (thicker than the standard neck profile) with Rosewood fingerboard, parallelogram inlays and 20 frets. Fitted with Gold hardware including Grover machine heads, zigzag trapeze tailpiece and Tune-O-Matic ABR bridge on a Rosewood base. Also fitted with a single 490R Humbucker pickup, 1x volume control and 1x tone control. The headstock features a gold stencilled Gibson logo and Herb Ellis signature. Just been fully serviced and setup with 11’s. The guitar plays great as well as sounds superb! One of the nicest Herb Ellis’s we’ve had, and we’ve had a few!
