Bespoke Unit Cigars Home https://bespokeunit.com/cigars Davidoff Winston Churchill Cigars Overview With Klaas Kelner We're taking a look at the Original Winston Churchill cigar, plus The Late Hour and the 2019 limited edition The Traveller. The Original and The Late Hour are similar blends, but for very different moments. Meanwhile, The Traveller is a limited edition because it's a completely separate blend with a different inspiration. Davidoff's master blender Eladio Diaz created all three of these blends, so check out our interview with him! The Original Winston Churchill has seven tobaccos from four countries. The wrapper is Ecuadorian, while the binder is Mexican and the fillers are Dominican and Nicaraguan. In order to reflect Churchill's versatile character, this is a very smooth and even smoke using only seco leaves. It's available in Petit Corona, Toro, and Churchill vitolas. Short filler sizes are also available, including Petit Panatela and Belicoso. In contrast, the Late Hour is currently available in three sizes, Robusto, Toro, and Churchill. Again, The Late Hour uses the same blend of tobaccos, but all leaves are from a level or two higher on the plant. Also, the condega tobacco is aged for six months in a whisky barrel. This all leads to a fuller-bodied, more intense smoke with a sweet spiciness. Naturally, the two go well with different drinks. The Original, for example, does well with champagne in the morning. Where the Original suits the earlier part of the day, The Late Hour accompanies stronger flavors at a heavy dinner. Stronger drinks are a good pair: whisky, which Winston Churchill was never without, or perhaps bourbon. Finally, The Traveller takes its inspiration from those times that take you to different locations. The blend is from three countries: the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Mexico. Here, you'll find a Dominican wrapper from Yamasá instead of the Ecuadorian on the Original & Late Hour. The design of the packaging mimics leather traveling cases.
