Once The Largest Buses Built In The UK! The Stockholm Leyland Atlanteans.

In the mid 1960's Sweden changed from driving on the left to driving on the right. This was to bring them into line with the rest of mainland Europe. Stockholm Tramways was given a choice. Either convert the existing buses to left hand drive or buy new ones. They chose the latter option. They ordered what were probably the biggest Leyland Atlanteans ever built and definitely the biggest double decker buses built in the UK at that time. They were also the biggest thing in Stockholm until ABBA appeared in 1972!
