Essentials for Spiritual Growth

Welcome to Chapel City Church! We are so glad that you are joining us for our time of worship this morning. As believers, we know that we are saved when the gospel call transforms our hearts of stone into hearts of flesh. At a particular moment in time, we are made new creations in Christ. But from that time on, we are involved in a constant process of growth and maturity. We learn more about the God who saved us. We understand more clearly how he has gifted us and called us to serve. We move from simple understanding to a deeper, more grounded theology. Or at least we're supposed to... We know that we should grow in our faith, and many of us want to grow in our faith. But why is it so often a struggle? As disciples of Jesus, what are the essentials for growing in our spiritual maturity? We are privileged to have Dr. Tom Halstead with us today, and he will help us understand how we pursue maturity as we follow after Jesus.
