They’re undercover plastic—and they stick around for 10–15 years. 🌍 Every year, 4.5 trillion butts are dumped in nature—that’s enough to circle the planet 14 times. 💧 Each one can pollute 1,000 liters of water, breaking down into microplastics, nicotine, and heavy metals. It’s not just ugly on the beach. It’s toxic for our oceans, rivers, and wildlife. 👉 If you smoke, do your part: Use portable ashtrays (we bring them to the beach at our Walks) Try bamboo filters if you roll—less harmful than plastic Remember: every butt you take home is one less fish sipping “nicotine tea” 🐟☠️ We spotted a lot of cigarette butts on the path of our first Walk event, and we’ll keep collecting them.
