THE JAEGER & BENZINGER EDITION 3 SALMON DIAL (these are my opinions only; any errors or misspeaks are my fault alone) I ordered this customized piece about 9 months ago . . . and it finally arrived! This is an AMAZING watch! Johen Benzinger, a highly recognized and respected name in horology, made this watch just for me – and I am very grateful and overjoyed with his efforts and kindness. Mr. Benzinger has three companies that bear his name – all of which reflect his commitment to time tested – but almost lost – techniques and craftsmanship for hand guilloche of the dials and portions of the movement; this contributes to making a unique time piece that will last for years and be an heirloom that can be passed from generation to generation. The watch we’ll look at in this video is the EDITION 3 from his “entry level” brand, Jaeger & Benzinger. He offers five or six different models under this brand, all in the $5,000 - $10,000 price range; and at that price, these watches are phenomenal values! That sounds crazy, I know; but when you see the workmanship that goes in to these pieces, you’ll be astounded by the skill and artisanal expertise that he executes to perfection. These are one of a kind watches for the price of a run of the mill Tudor, Omega, or other mid-tier major brand – and what you get with Jochen’s work simply cannot be duplicated by CNC guilloche, pressing, or printing.
