Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro Review 2020 4K

Review of the Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro which was kindly lent to me by the guys at Laguna Motorcycles in Maidstone - https://www.laguna.co.uk/ Having ridden the Triumph Tiger 800 and Tiger 1200 last year I was very keen to see what the new Tiger 900 had to offer. I was very lucky to get to take out the new Triumph Tiger GT Pro model which would be the model I would go for over the Tiger 900 Rally. The way I break the range down is that the Tiger 900 GT is more of a road bike and the Tiger 900 Rally leans more towards off road riding. The ‘Pro’ version of each is extra tech. While the Tiger 900 Rally looks better I find spoked wheels difficult to clean with the intensive all weather riding I do. The Tiger 900 Gt Pro therefore is the choice for me. I mentioned reviewing the Triumph Tiger 800 last year    • Triumph Tiger 800 XRT Review 2019   - which I couldn’t help but compare to my Suzuki V Strom 650 XT and I concluded it was better in every way apart from the engine of the Triumph being a bit boring compared to the V twin of the Strom. The Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro completely solves this criticism. It is still a triple however the guys at Triumph have played with the firing order and created an engine that feels like a v twin down low. If I was to ride it without knowing anything about the engine I would say it was a twin. The ride is therefore a lot more engaging. The tech on the Triumph 900 GT Pro is outstanding and I can’t think of anything else it needs. Heated seats, heated grips, cruise control, up and down quickshifter, tyre pressure monitoring, electronically adjusted suspension, 9 dampening settings, 4 preload settings, phone connectivity. A whole host of tech makes this machine a serious mile muncher in all weather. Riding the Triumph Tiger 900 Gt Pro is easy and comfortable. You are seated up right with good vision of the road ahead. The weight of the bike is low down. I was surprised by how light the bike feels and also how small it felt jumping on. It felt smaller than the Tiger 800 last year. The only question I have remaining about the Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro is how does it perform 2 up with luggage. Does it have enough power? Cause if it does, it’s probably the best adventure style bike on the market.
