Speaking to the architects behind the 124-metre Unipol Tower | Case Studies

Nestled in the masterplanned Porta Nuova district in Milan, Italy, the 124-metre Unipol Tower has quickly become a landmark for the city's growing skyline. Distinctly elliptical, the new office building for insurance company Unipol Group was designed by Mario Cucinella Architects with a "sensory architecture" approach and a dynamic double-skin facade. The acoustics of its atrium and restaurant were optimised with the installation of the monolithic ceiling solution Rockfon Mono Acoustic, integrated seamlessly with the existing drywall structures to contribute to indoor environmental comfort for approximately 650 employees. The project team is seeking LEED green building certification at the Platinum level for the tower, for which Rockfon acoustic solutions contribute in scoring.
