To be honest, I've tried this A.A.S.S. Seafood Soup and Yanji's before. Both also once only cos Yanji's [Old Airport] was overly salty and A.A.S.S. was rude even though the latter's broth has more umami flavours. After finding out the management of A.A.S.S. was taken over by a team of young entrepreneurs a couple of weeks back, I decided to go try them out again after I got an email from one of the partners. The coffeeshop they're at just got a renovation so it's a lot brighter and cleaner. I wanted to try the Crayfish Seafood Soup and Braised Pork Leg but they ran out when I was there around 2.30pm. 😭 So I tried their Red Snapper and regular seafood soups instead. The umaminess in the soup was as good as the first time I tried and the milky texture suggested bones and some other secret ingredients were used in the soup base.
