With over two decades of dedicated service in food technology education and research, Prof. Alak Kumar Singh has played a pivotal role in shaping the department’s academic and research excellence. 👨‍🏫 About Dr. Alak Kumar Singh: • Graduated in Food Technology from HBTI Kanpur. • Completed Ph.D. in Food Technology from HBTI Kanpur in 2013. • Joined HBTI as a lecturer in 1995 and progressed to Assistant Professor (2005–2008), Associate Professor (2008–2013), and Professor. • Served as Head of the Department of Food Technology from 2013 to 2023. • Currently a Professor in the Department of Food Technology at HBTU Kanpur. • Actively involved in organizing and participating in various academic events, workshops, and seminars.  🔬 Research Interests: • Food Engineering and Technology • Development of Value-Added Food Products • Food Safety and Quality Assurance • Sustainable Food Processing Techniques 📚 Academic Contributions: • Published numerous research papers in reputed journals. • Guided several undergraduate and postgraduate students in their research projects. • Organized and contributed to various faculty development programs and workshops. 🤝 Professional Affiliations: • Served as Secretary of the AFSTI Kanpur Chapter.
