I spent $175 on this damaged Switch and initially it didn't actually look too bad. There was only minor liquid damage that had to be cleaned up and it also needed the battery replace. Once that was done the Switch was back to working like it should... except the left joy-con wouldn't connect. Turns out it had some liquid damage too... even more than the actual Switch.
