Powder Coating Diamond Cut Effect Mercedes Benz Alloy Wheels without a Lathe | Restoration DIY

This time we are using a belt sander to create a diamond cut effect on these badly damaged Mercedes- Benz E-class W212 wheels. First we sand blasted wheels and used a belt sander to grind surfaces that would normally be diamond cut on a lathe. Then we put high temperature tape on these surfaces and coated wheels in black powder coating powder. At last we removed tape and coated wheels in clearcoat powder which looks white but turns clear after curing. We were using NordicPulver model XL powder coating oven and stand on wheels which allowed us to easily load alloys into and out of the oven. NordicPulver PRO+ powder coating gun easily coated two layers of powder. We are very happy with results on these wheels.
