The rain is not constant, and it usually pours in the afternoon or at night, leaving the mornings and early afternoons sunny and beautiful. We had the perfect balance of sun, rain, and breeze throughout our stay. The best part about coming during the rainy season is that it's not crowded. We stayed at the beautiful Rancho Bella vista in Barra Salada, which we found through www.VacationsElSalvador.com (whatsapp +50370447165). It has direct ocean views and 4 bedrooms, all with their own AC, and 3 complete bathrooms. The living area and dining room are al fresco, perfect to enjoy the spectacular lightning shows at night and soak up the perfect ocean breeze during the day. There is a large pool with ocean front views and multiple hammocks to swing your cares away. The place had everything we needed for a comfortable and cozy stay. It was a perfect escape from city life, surrounded by palm trees, and with an amazing view of the Pacific Ocean. It felt like we had a private beach all to ourselves. It was so tranquil. But what I loved the most about our vacation was how AMAZING everyone in Barra Salada was: Roberto, a local fisherman lives right next door to Rancho Bella Vista and can catch you fresh fish for a fair fee, we got 5 pounds of clean fresh fish for only $10. It was incredible to watch his whole family; mother, wife, daughter, and dogs greet him on the shore as he returned triumphant with the catch of the day! Happy Market is the local supermercado and it is like a grocery store and a giant tiendita had a baby…and it was happy 🙂They have a great selection of a little bit of everything including food, drinks, medicine, clothes, and even pool cleaning supplies. It is very reasonably priced and everyone is so nice! Karitos Pizza is another hidden gem in Barra Salada, El Salvador. Not only is Karito (short for Karol) incredibly sweet but she is an amazing chef and she whipped up some of the tastiest pizzas for us to enjoy! 10/10 recommend. So, if you're looking for an adventure, I highly recommend visiting El Salvador during the rainy season.
