Hello, we decided to play a Best of 3 of Best of 3s again. Best of 3 #1    • MTG OLD SCHOOL: THE DECK (Weissman) v...   This time I'm playing The Deck, Weissman's list (Serra Angel, Moat), quite unusual of me. My friend is playing UWB Robots (Skynet), the deck he plans on using in tournaments    • MTG Old School: UWB Robots / Skynet (...   Both decks are legal in all rulesets (Swedish/Ravenna Rules, Atlantic, Pacific, Eternal Central). We use Atlantic rules. SPOILER ALERT: start of each game mark, highlights of games next. G2 9:25, G3 17:05 He starts with Mox, Lotus, Sol Ring, Land, Mind Twist for 5. I can't even play a land. This is what happens with cards like Mind Twist, Balance, Timetwister and Wheel of Fortune. He has 6 mana, without any action. He plays Triskelion, I have Chaos Orb but I decide to use a Swords to Plowshares instead so I don't need to worry about Disenchant. He uses Demonic Tutor: I expect Braingeyser to be the pick, but he chooses Chaos Orb instead without even bluffing. I am the one using Braingeyser, for 2. I am tapped out, but he decides to not trade Orbs. I play Moat, he uses Armageddon. I use Chaos Orb on a Triskelion, he does the same with Moat. Su-Chi is countered. He plays Balance, I Disenchant Sol Ring. I'm still behind and nothing happens, until I play a Wheel of Fortune that doesn't go well for me. I play Black Lotus, he copies it. I play a Serra Angel, and he has 3 Factories. I counter The Abyss. Serra and Fireball, with Mana Drain as a backup, close the game. G2 He starts with Workshop, Mox, Su-Chi. I have Sol Ring but Chaos Orb takes care of it. Divine Offering destroys Su-Chi. He doesn't have much offense, so he tries to copy a Mishra's Factory but I have Disenchant. I'm stuck on two lands. I randomly use a Disenchant on a copied Mox. He plays Triskelion and tries to copy it, but I have Swords to Plowshares. Eventually he plays Braingeyser, Demonic Tutor into Psionic Blast on my Serra Angel. I play another Angel, but he has more cards. I try to resolve Braingeyser but he has Mana Drain. I topdeck Braingeyser, so I decide to draw four leaving one City of Brass untapped for a possible StP but I don't get it. I play Demonic Tutor for Ancestral Recall and then Time Walk. I use StP on his Factory and he uses Armageddon. It looks like I have the game under control but he suddenly draws two Factories and I fail to remove them. G3 I Mulligan and start with just lands, he has a Mox and Ancestral Recall into Demonic Tutor. I Disenchant a Mox, Time Walk is countered so I can resolve Balance. I plan on using Dust to Dust the next turn, but he has Mind Twist followed by Braingeyser. This allows him to play Su-Chi and copy it. I topdeck a Disenchant, he has Triskelion. I use two Factories to block, but unfortunately one has summoning sickness so I have to give both. I deal with Su-Chi but he has another Triskelion. Another StP, another Su-Chi, another removal. This is a loop but his Mishra's Factory is attacking me. I use Braingeyser so I find a Disenchant to deal with the Factory, but I'm down to 3. I have to let my Tome go. He plays Su-Chi, I let it resolve and when he tries to Copy it I have StP and a Counterspell for his Counterspell. I'm back in shape with some good plays, and I have a Serra Angel. He plays Balance. I use Ancestrall Recall and play Tome, but I let it go again because I'm low. Maybe it was worth it to take a risk. We play Moat and Tome respectively, but both cards are destroyed soon. I use Demonic Tutor into Mind Twist but he counters it. I don't think enough and use a Counterspell on his counter: a big time misplay. Rightfully, he topdecks Psionic Blast and wins the game.
