SOLO CANOE Camping with DOGS in a HOT TENT | Fall Overnight Adventure

Together with our two Border Collies, Annie and Johnny, I took off for a fall canoe trip. I planned to paddle out to an island with a great view. There, I wanted to create some nice photos with a hot tent, northern lights, sunset, and you name it… Instead, we ended up in some frozen part of the lake, and I had to cancel the whole idea. The canoe went up on the ice and became unstable until the ice crashed. That happened over and over again. The consequences of a flipped canoe weren't great. Between us and the safe land, there was a layer of ice that would give me serious problems if I flipped with the canoe. I had to change the plan and instead, I went upstream a small river. Find a very nice camp spot where Johnny, Annie, and I stayed for the night. During this tour, I used a tent from Nortent with a stove jack called Nortent Vern 2. It’s a really sturdy tent with poles crossed over the whole tent. I can't say anything about how long this tent will last because I have only used it since the last spring. What I can say is that it’s a very cozy tent that are super comfortable with the wood stove as a heat source. This was just a short overnight trip and probably the last canoe trip for the season.
