Can Taiwan’s F-16 ‘Viper’ Beat China’s J-20 ‘Mighty Dragon’ if Xi Attempts to Invade the US Ally?

Taiwan has received the first of 66 F-16V ‘Viper’ jets from US defence giant Lockheed Martin, boosting its aerial capabilities against China. The advanced 4++ generation fighters will be inducted later this year, with full delivery expected by 2026. Taiwan is also upgrading 139 older F-16s under its "Peace Phoenix Rising" initiative. The F-16Vs, equipped with cutting-edge radar and missile systems, will face China’s J-20 stealth fighters in case of conflict. Beijing, with over 200 J-20s and a 1,500-strong combat jet fleet, claims Taiwan's F-16Vs stand little chance in aerial combat.
