If you use an immersion blender to mix your tests but not your full sized mixes, and you find the full mix comes out a little flatter, this might be why! The preview pic is exactly the same glaze, same application, same firing. There is only one difference between all the test tiles here, and that's how they were mixed. This is something Ryan from @midnightceramics told me a while ago, and I only just got around to testing myself. The glaze is my new FirstFive Floating Base (with 2.5% titanium) with 1% tin and a tiny amount of chrome. As you can see here, the difference between sieved and pureed is pretty drastic. The titanium and tin start off fairly clumped, and the more they break up the greater their visual effect on the glaze.
